Emily is a licensed clinical social worker providing individual therapy to adults 18 and older. Emily has been working in the mental health field since 2007, practicing/training in a variety of settings, with various populations—from acute DMH and court-appointed clients to homeless individuals to faculty, staff, and post-docs at Harvard University. Emily’s well-rounded background has led her to develop a unique, dynamic approach to treatment, which is always strengths-based and client-centered. She utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities, notably cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and integrative therapy. Emily is versed in treating mood/depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders. Clinical interests include intimacy/relationship issues, OCD, grief/loss, and perfectionism.

Emily received her BA in Psychology from Wheaton College, MA, and her MSW from Boston University. In addition to her clinical expertise, Emily is an established case manager and care coordinator, and belongs to the National Association of Social Workers. In her free time, she enjoys playing games, being outside, traveling, binge-watching TV, and being with friends and family.
