Kristen Wright, LICSW
Psychotherapist – Andover, MA
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth and healing. My approach is collaborative and supportive, grounded in the belief that every individual has inherent strengths that can be harnessed to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing a difficult transition, managing a mental health condition, or seeking personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminology from Stonehill College, and earned my Master of Social Work with a concentration in Family Studies from Wheelock College. This academic foundation continues to inform my clinical approach and passion for working with individuals and families across the lifespan.
In my practice, I draw from a strengths-based model in combination with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans. These approaches help build practical skills, shift unhelpful thinking patterns, and regulate emotions—all while highlighting and reinforcing what’s already working well in your life.
For the past eight years, I’ve been in private practice providing psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I support clients through a range of concerns, including PTSD, OCD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, and life transitions. Each session is tailored to align with your unique needs, values, and goals.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and chasing after our two young sons. As a family, we enjoy playing all kinds of sports, exploring the outdoors, and hitting the slopes for skiing in the winter!
