Kaylen (she/her) is a mental health provider at Family Counseling Associates who is
experienced in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and family systems. She
provides therapy services through a client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based
approach. She understands being vulnerable and seeking help can be intimidating, but shows
someone’s resiliency and willingness to improve.
Kaylen strives to provide a nonjudgemental, empathetic, and person-centered space that allows
each client to be their true self. She values the importance of the therapeutic relationship as life
can have difficult moments (past or present) and works collaboratively with clients to assist in
navigating through these moments as well as empowering clients during good moments. She
emphasizes meeting the client where they are at and tailoring her approach based on each
client’s needs. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and humor when deemed
appropriate.
Kaylen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire
University and Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Merrimack
College. During her graduate program and following her education, she has worked within
outpatient settings providing therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and family systems.
She has and continues to assist clients with management of depression, anxiety, adhd,
navigating life transitions, self-exploration, trauma and much more.
