Suzanne Foley, LICSW
Psychotherapist – Andover, MA
Nice to meet you! I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with 8+ years’ experience working in various settings. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Union College and went on to pursue my Master’s in Social Work from Salem State University. I have a strong interest in developmental and complex trauma issues and enjoy helping clients and their families to overcome obstacles related to adverse experiences.
My background includes working with children & families through home/community-based services, as well as in schools, primary care offices, and residential programs. I have worked in different roles such as care manager/coordinator, clinician, and clinical director.
I currently provide outpatient and school-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. My aim is to accompany individuals through challenges and build upon their unique strengths and resiliencies, in order to reach their goals. Other interests include self-esteem, mood disorders, learning disabilities, anger management, emotion regulation, social skills, relationship issues, and life transitions.
My approach is warm, relational, strengths-based, and client-centered. I pull from a variety of treatment modalities based on the individual needs of the client(s). These include the ARC Framework, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Expressive Therapy, and Integrative Therapy.
