Kristine Healey, LICSW
Psychotherapist – Marlborough, MA
I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker providing individual therapy and family counseling to individuals 10 and over. My goal is providing a safe, judgement- free environment while simultaneously collaborating to discover obstacles impeding optimal functioning. Promoting self-awareness to “see” the barriers that oftentimes are clouded by the demands of everyday living is key in our sessions. Working from a strengths perspective the individual leads the way in this discovery. Mindfulness is also integrated in sessions as a means to ground the individual and promote a balanced environment.
I have over 20 years’ experience working in domestic violence, residential facilities, and more recently outpatient care. My background includes training in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Solution-Focused therapy. I also am skilled in Play Therapy and use expressive modalities to supplement communication due to internal distress. Areas of interest include depression, anxiety, mood disorder and recovery from trauma.
I received my MSW degree from Radford University. In my spare time I enjoy biking, gardening, dance, and most of all spending time with my family.
