Jennifer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with 15+ years of experience working with a variety of populations in the outpatient setting. Currently, Jennifer focuses mostly on Individual psychotherapy with adults and older adolescents using an eclectic approach depending on her clients needs and strengths.
Jennifer uses primarily a strength-based and person centered approach that may incorporate Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Expressive Arts therapy and Relational psychotherapy. Though she is diverse in her approaches she integrates the clients needs and meets them where they are at.
Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queens College in Charlotte, NC and a Masters of Arts in Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jennifer values the importance of creating a safe and welcoming environment and establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship that fosters her clients self discovery and personal growth.
