Christine is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and primarily works with adults 18+ and couples. She received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from High Point University in North Carolina. She then obtained a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Psychological Services from Salem State University.
Christine has gained clinical experience in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Opioid Treatment Program by providing individual and group therapy. This has provided her the opportunity to work with substance use disorders and varying levels of mental health including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, as well as other presenting concerns such as trauma, grief/loss, relationships, and transitional life changes.
Christine’s goal in therapy is to provide a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their past, present, and potential future. She does this by utilizing an eclectic approach as she believes treatment is individualized. She does incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and a strength based, person centered, solution focused approach.
