Nicole Meuse, MA/CAGS
Nicole “Nikki” Meuse is a doctoral student in the Psy.D. program at William James College in Newton, MA. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Clark University in Worcester, MA, as well as her Master’s degree and Certification of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology at William James College. Nikki has worked as a therapeutic counselor for young females aged 15-22 with significant trauma histories, as well as for elementary-aged children with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. During her graduate studies, Nikki completed her field education in the Boston Public Schools and her internship at Wellesley High School. She worked with School Psychologists to identify and evaluate students with existing or potential disabilities that would impact their abilities in school. Nikki also provided long-term, in-school counseling support to adolescents with clinical challenges ranging from performance anxiety to traumatic distress. Nikki aims to increase clients’ independent identification of challenge areas to help motivate the development of alternative healthy coping mechanisms and strategies for managing stress factors. Additionally, Nikki values bridging collaborative services and communication between service providers to increase the functionality of clients’ systems of support.
