Jamie Toomey M.Ed.
Jamie Toomey serves as a mental health counselor here at Family Counseling Associates providing individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults ranging in age from 5 through 18. During the day, Jamie also teaches full-time at a collaborative high school for 15-22 year-old students with intensive special needs. These special needs include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Landau Kleffner, and other genetic disorders. Jamie also works with students affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as various Mood and Anxiety Disorders. In her classroom, Ms. Toomey emphasizes social skills to facilitate independence, coping strategies, social awareness, language and appropriate behavior.
Jamie attained her Bachelor of Science in Education at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts and in 2018 Jamie received her Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College in Boston, Massachusetts.
