Kathleen Dollard MA, LMHC
I am a licensed mental health counselor with a focus on constructing a safe, trusting relationship with my clients while positively reinforcing empowerment in their progress. I mostly use a cognitive behavioral approach in order to pinpoint patterns of thinking and how those patterns can impact feelings and behavior. I have experience working with adolescents on identifying coping skills for anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. I also can work with my clients on school related and family issues. I enjoy working with adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder who need support with enhancing their social skills with Social Thinking techniques.
Education and Experience
I received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Lesley University in 2006. Since then I have worked as a School Adjustment Counselor at a local high school for the last ten years. I am very comfortable working with school systems in order to support my clients with specific issues related to their academic success. I am currently working towards being clinically trained in Social Thinking Methodology.
