David Fair, LCSW
David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Framingham State University in 2013 and a Masters in Social Work from Simmons University School of Social Work. David has a background in working with youth and young adults with a trauma diagnosis and has worked years in residential homes with youth with a variety of mental health diagnoses including autism spectrum, PTSD, attachment-related disorders, and anxiety, before going back to school to get his Masters.
David works with children ages 8-18 as well as families and young people. David is a strengths-based clinician, who has a kind and empathetic approach. David enjoys integrating humor into therapy as well as discovering how children’s strengths provide avenues for growth and healing. David worked extensively with DBT at his previous placement at Arlington High School and also integrates components of CBT and psychodynamic theory into his work. David has a particular interest and passion for supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and supporting children and adults as they heal and grow in new and positive ways.
