Courtney Hale MA, LMHC
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in individual, group, and family counseling with children (6yrs and older), adolescents, transitional-aged young adults, and adults. My approach to counseling is strength based and solution focused. While I draw from a variety of therapeutic frameworks; I have a strong emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Social Thinking model, and Narrative therapy. Areas of experience include treating the symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma related disorders, autism spectrum disorders, families in transition, adjustment disorders, and ADHD. Developing a strong therapeutic relationship is important while promoting empowerment and accessing the unique strengths of individuals. My hope is to create a safe and welcoming environment during our time together.
Education and Experience
I received my Bachelors of Arts from Wheaton College and hold a Masters of Arts in Counseling psychology from Framingham State University. I have extensive experience working with individuals and their families throughout the life span in a variety of mental health settings; outpatient, home-based, school-based, crisis intervention, and residential facilities. I work closely with many state departments, schools, and other providers to create a collaborative and effective approach to treatment.
